The euro is holding steady Tuesday, and is seen holding in an USD1.5800 to USD1.5850 range for now. Dealers said forex investors are waiting for more U.S. earnings reports to gauge the economic health.

AUD/USD rallies on short-covering after RBA minutes failed to reveal any additional dovish sentiment. Also supported by relief rally in equities markets today but notes 0.93 presenting very strong resistance. Support now seen around 0.9240 level. Notes AUD/USD has made three attempts to break above 0.9350 in recent weeks but failed. AUD/USD last 0.9291. (SWFX)

Tuesday will see the release of U.K. BRC retail sales, CPI and RPI, German ZEW index, U.S. Empire state manufacturing, PPI and capital flows data.

Traders will scrutinize the CPI figures report to gauge the extent to which the Bank of England can continue easing interest rates to stimulate growth in the face of inflation hovering above its target.

Traders will focus on several key inflation reports due out this week, including producer prices and consumer prices slated for Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. Manufacturing and housing reports will also provide additional clues on the state of the economy, with the April NAHB housing market index, housing starts, building permits, industrial production, and the Philadelphia Fed index scheduled for release.
